Project Status as of December18th December, 2012: Seeking Candidates
In accordance with the Waste Management Regulations under the Environmental Protection Act, an industry-led electronics recycling program will be introduced in Newfoundland and Labrador in 2013. This creates the need for an EPRA Program Manager to oversee the implementation, effectiveness and integrity of this new process, which will involve an anticipated $3 to $4 million in annual expenditures, including a consumer awareness and education program.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Atlantic Canada, the Program Manager will preferably be located in either St John’s or Gander, and be responsible for operational work and contracts with various third party vendors including: collectors, transporters, consolidators and primary processors.
Qualified candidates will be achievement oriented team players with relevant business education and at least five years experience in a management role in distribution, collection, recycling or logistics operations, ideally coupled with knowledge of regulated and stewardship entities. Superb written, verbal and listening communication skills as well competence in the use of business office and decision support software are also essential.
